The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve Board published feedback letters on September 29, 2026 for resolution plans submitted in October 2025. The agencies said they did not identify any shortcomings or deficiencies in those submissions.
The plans are also known as living wills, and they describe a banking organization's strategy for orderly resolution in the event of material financial distress or failure. The joint review covered 15 banking organizations with more than $250 billion in assets.
The agencies also said the shortcoming previously identified in the 2021 BNP Paribas resolution plan has been satisfactorily addressed.
The feedback letters were published for American Express Company, Barclays PLC, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank AG and UBS Group AG, along with a template letter to Category II and III firms with resolution plans due in October 2025.
