Oculis said director Lionel Carnot will step down from its board of directors effective today, ending nearly a decade of service that began in 2017. The company said the move is a personal decision and not the result of any disagreement over its operations, policies or practices.
The company said the board will have eight members after the resignation. It also said the Remuneration Committee will be led by Geraldine O’Keeffe, with Gregory Perry and Robert Warner as members, after Mr. Carnot had served as chair.
Under Swiss law, the vacancy created by Mr. Carnot’s resignation can only be filled at a future annual or special general meeting. Oculis said it will begin identifying a successor and will provide updates as appropriate.
Anthony Rosenberg, chair of the board, thanked Mr. Carnot for his service, leadership and guidance over nearly a decade, while Mr. Carnot said it was a timely point to step down as the company enters its next stage of growth. He also said he remains confident in Oculis’ pipeline and expects the company to reach important milestones in the years ahead.
