NOVONIX Limited said on Oct. 7, 2026 that it has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. The company said the certification followed an independent assessment of its quality management system and confirms it has processes and controls designed to meet customer and regulatory requirements and drive continual improvement.
For a retail trader following the company, the practical point is that NOVONIX is presenting the certification as a milestone for its Riverside facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as it scales that site for commercial production of high-performance synthetic graphite active anode material. The company said robust quality management systems are an important part of customer qualification, supplier approval and ongoing commercial relationships with major battery cell manufacturers and other customers.
Chief Executive Officer Mike O’Kronley said: “Our customers require not only high-performance material, but confidence that we have the systems and discipline necessary to manufacture consistently and reliably at commercial scale.” He added that achieving ISO 9001 certification provides independent certification of the quality infrastructure NOVONIX has built and reinforces its ability to serve customers as a reliable domestic supplier of high-performance synthetic graphite AAM.
Meghan Vandelinder, senior manager, quality control at NOVONIX, said: “ISO 9001 certification reflects the company-wide effort to embed quality into how we operate.” She said the systems the company has established to control its processes, measure performance and continuously improve are essential to meeting customers’ quality and consistency requirements.
NOVONIX said the certification complements, but does not replace, customer-specific product qualification requirements and provides a recognized quality management framework supporting customer qualification and commercial supply. The company also said the announcement was authorized for release by Chairman Admiral Robert J. Natter, USN Ret.
