IPG Defense said it will take part in Land Forces 2026 in Perth, Australia, from October 6 to October 8, 2026, and use the event to show its CROSSBOW high-energy laser systems. For readers following defense technology, the announcement points to a product line aimed at counter-UAS protection, where UAS means unmanned aerial systems.

At the company’s booth, visitors will see the previously released CROSSBOW MINI and the first addition to the new CROSSBOW SE product line, the CROSSBOW SE1 8 kW. IPG Defense said multiple systems will be displayed in a layered defense arrangement to show different deployment scenarios, and that both products share the same scalable architecture and integrate with available radar and C2, or command and control, systems.

The company said the CROSSBOW MINI is designed for rapid expeditionary deployment where mobility is critical, while the CROSSBOW SE line offers increased laser power options for longer-range defense against Group I-III UAS threats. It also said interactive kiosks at the booth will let attendees run virtual simulations by placing UAS threats and CROSSBOW laser defense systems into scenes to defend critical assets.

Dr. Ben Allison, vice president of IPG Defense, said: “Across the globe, UAS, whether individually or in swarms, continue to threaten both military and civilian critical assets.” He added: “Our presence here at Land Forces is to engage with customers and showcase how our current product lines address their needs, with particular emphasis on demonstrating cooperative engagements with multiple CROSSBOW systems in a layered defense architecture.”

IPG Defense said its booth will be K05 on Level 3 and that staff will be available to discuss laser defense solutions and the company’s products. Land Forces is described by the organiser as Australia’s premier platform for advancing land-based defense capability, with an exhibition, conference program and networking opportunities.
