Intermap Technologies said on October 7, 2026 that it completed its acquisition of PCI Geomatics Group Inc., also known as CATALYST. The company said the transaction is expected to double recurring revenue and help support commercial revenue of $12 million to $15 million in 2027.

For traders and newer investors following software and data businesses, the key point is that Intermap is folding PCI’s image-processing tools into its own geospatial platform. Intermap said PCI brings more than 30,000 installed licenses across more than 150 countries, and that the combination extends its reach from proprietary 3D data and AI/ML analytics into optical image processing and distributed edge processing.

Intermap said the deal should also broaden how its products are delivered, with cloud-native applications, APIs and Data-as-a-Service, alongside development work that connects PCI’s image-processing capabilities with Intermap’s AI/ML models, SAR processing technologies and archive. It said the goal is to generate decision-ready intelligence within customers’ existing workflows.

The transaction closed under an arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act after PCI shareholder approval on September 25, 2026 and a final order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Commercial List, dated September 28, 2026. Intermap said it used $7.7 million of cash to complete the purchase.

At closing, available liquidity was about $14 million, excluding more than $150 million of third-party credit support arranged for Indonesia’s outstanding and binding RFB procurement. Intermap said its 2027 outlook assumes no contribution from government procurements, including in Indonesia, because of uncertain timing, and it expects Adjusted EBITDA of about $5 million. The company also said it will host an investor call on October 8, 2026 at 5:00 pm ET.

Intermap says its proprietary 3D data foundation spans more than 300 million square kilometers across over 150 countries, while PCI says it has more than 45 years of experience in remote sensing, imagery processing and photogrammetry.
