Gran Tierra Energy said the Milli Majlis, the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ratified its exploration, development and production sharing agreement for the onshore Guba-Khazaryani region on Oct. 5, 2026. The company said it signed the agreement, which it calls the EDPSA, with the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Feb. 18, 2026.

For traders and newer investors, the immediate significance is that the company has now cleared a formal parliamentary step on the Azerbaijan project it already described in its disclosure. Gran Tierra said it is the operator of the onshore agreement and holds a 65% working interest in it.

The company also said it has completed flying its airborne digital full tensor gradiometry, or dFTG, survey in Azerbaijan. It said the survey covered 102 lines for 5,775-line kilometres and a total area of 4,815 square kilometres.

Gran Tierra said the dFTG information will be used to help define the geometry of sedimentary basins and fault-related structures that could trap oil and gas in the Contract Area. It said the data will be integrated with existing seismic and exploratory well data to optimize the selection of future seismic acquisition areas and exploration and appraisal drilling locations.

Gran Tierra also said its corporate presentation has been updated and is available on its website.
