Five Star Bancorp said its wholly owned banking subsidiary, Five Star Bank, opened an administrative office in Calabasas, California, on 8 September 2026, extending its Southern California presence and its ability to serve commercial banking clients in the region.
For retail traders and newer investors who follow bank expansion, the key point is that the office is another part of Five Star’s organic growth strategy. The company said the Calabasas site will act as a hub for work with small-to-medium-sized businesses and clients across Southern California.
Five Star Bank said it specializes in commercial banking and that the Calabasas office will focus on commercial banking, commercial and industrial, or C&I, and non-profit clients. The bank also said its Newport Beach administrative office, opened in September 2025, serves title and escrow, faith, government, private enterprise and non-profit clients.
James Beckwith, president and chief executive officer of Five Star Bank, said: “Our Newport Beach and Greater Los Angeles Area teams were not one-off investments in Southern California. These experienced teams are building a foundation for even more expansion in the region.”
Beckwith added: “Our new Calabasas office builds on this momentum, allowing us to further develop existing relationships, establish new ones, and deliver the personalized commercial banking expertise that businesses and organizations need to grow.”
The company said the Calabasas opening is another milestone in its growth across California, alongside expansions in Palo Alto, Lodi and Walnut Creek. Five Star Bancorp is headquartered in Rancho Cordova, California, and said Five Star Bank has ten branches in the state.
