Itafos said on Sept. 29, 2026 that it had amended its existing credit facilities with a syndicate of lenders led by RBC Capital Markets, with Texas Capital and PNC Capital Markets LLC as joint lead arrangers. The company said the package will refinance its existing $100 million term loan, of which $82.5 million is outstanding, and its $30 million letter of credit facility.

The amended term loan agreement provides for a new $140 million commitment and a $30 million letter of credit facility, and it extends the maturity date to Sept. 29, 2029. Itafos also said the loan margin will be reduced by 75 basis points and annual principal amortization will be cut to 5% in year 1 and 10% in years 2 and 3.

The company separately said it has amended its revolving asset-based credit facility, also with a lender group led by RBC Capital Markets, Texas Capital and PNC Capital Markets LLC, to extend that facility’s maturity date to Sept. 29, 2029. The proceeds are expected to refinance indebtedness under the existing term loan agreement, repay all outstanding ABL borrowings and go toward general corporate purposes.

Upon closing, Itafos said the amended term loan will have an outstanding balance of $140 million, the ABL facility will be undrawn and the letter of credit facility will have an outstanding balance of $12.5 million. The company describes itself as a phosphate and specialty fertilizer company with businesses and projects in the United States, Brazil and Guinea-Bissau.
