यूरोपीय आयोग ने AI in Science के लिए RAISE पहल शुरू की

यूरोपीय आयोग ने 15 अक्टूबर को डबलिन में आयोजित European AI in Science Summit में RAISE (Resource for AI Science in Europe) pledging initiative शुरू की। इसका लक्ष्य AI और science में काम करने वाले यूरोपीय शोधकर्ताओं के लिए निजी क्षेत्र और परोपकारी संगठनों से समर्थन जुटाना है, जो केवल सार्वजनिक फंडिंग से संभव नहीं है।

आयोग के अनुसार, RAISE AI in Science Enablers AI के विकास और तैनाती को समर्थन देगा, ताकि वैज्ञानिक प्रगति और यूरोप की innovation capacity तथा competitiveness को बढ़ावा मिल सके। यह पहल private actors और AI-in-science समुदाय के बीच matchmaking और collaboration के नए मौके भी बनाएगी।

इस पहल में industry और philanthropic organisations से in-kind contributions शामिल होंगी, जिनमें frontier AI models तक पहुंच, computing capacity, research software licences, data, training और वैज्ञानिक खोज को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए जरूरी अन्य संसाधन शामिल हैं। प्रारंभिक commitments Novo Nordisk Foundation, Nvidia, Elsevier, Sanofi, Frontiers, Mistral और Google DeepMind ने किए हैं।

आयोग ने कहा कि Mistral AI और CERN ने मिलकर physics में ऐसा foundation model विकसित करने के लिए नई partnership शुरू की है, जिसे सबसे बड़ा होने की उम्मीद है। यह सहयोग RAISE Pledging Initiative के उसी लक्ष्य के अनुरूप बताया गया है, जिसमें यूरोप की scientific excellence और industrial innovation को key resources के साथ जोड़ने की बात कही गई है।

भाग लेने के लिए संगठनों को AI in science के लिए sustained support का ठोस pledge देना होगा, जो उनके direct commercial interests से आगे जाता हो। योगदान में financial support, computing infrastructure, AI models, datasets, cloud services, software licences, scholarships, fellowships और training programmes शामिल हो सकते हैं।

पहल की सालाना समीक्षा होगी और pledges तथा progress को European AI in Science Summit के आगामी संस्करणों में पेश किया जाएगा।

समिट में आयोग ने Living Guidelines on the Responsible Use of Generative AI in Research का updated संस्करण भी पेश किया। इसमें researchers और research organisations के लिए generative AI, including agentic AI, के जिम्मेदार, transparent और European values के अनुरूप उपयोग पर practical guidance दी गई है, जबकि scientific excellence और integrity का समर्थन भी किया गया है।

सहयोग आसान बनाने के लिए RAISE Hub, RAISE Forum और RAISE Observatory भी शुरू किए गए। ये जुड़े हुए प्लेटफॉर्म AI in science से जुड़ी जानकारी, संसाधन, समुदाय और evidence को यूरोप में एक integrated environment में लाएंगे।

अक्टूबर 2025 में आयोग ने European Strategy for AI in Science शुरू की थी, जिसका उद्देश्य researchers को अपने काम में AI का उपयोग करने में मदद देकर Europe की technological and scientific leadership और competitiveness को मजबूत करना है।
